DS is very big for his age (nearly 15kgs at 18 months). Until now I have been using BBHind MagicAlls (size large) but just this week they have become too small - they go on ok, but when he walks the velcro pops open. Unfotunately BBH do not make a size 'extra large'.

Old fashioned terry flats are not really an option, as he barely stays still for a nappy change as it is, without having to fiddle with folding and pins/clips.

He is not really ready for toilet training yet (unfortunately). I tried training pants today (just cheap ones from K-Mart) but they have zero absorbancy and so ended up with wee on the floor!

Does anyone know of a good, cheaper brand of AIO MCN that caters for bigger sizes, or alternatively, some absorbant style training pants?

TIA

I have a brain and a uterus. I like to use both.
I found Blueberry training pants to be good for my 15/16kg 2.5yo. She is just starting TT now, and the training pants were a good transition for her. She is a pretty heavy wetter, and kids who are developing bladder control tend to do bigger wees, coz they hold on more. The pants were able to hold these Niagra-style wees without leaks... tthumbs.gif

Hi, Maybe try magicalls with snaps instead. i found them much better in medium compared to velcro.

daddledoo nappies/training pants might suit you. i think she will be stocking soon... she is on wahmnaps. take a look...

Fuzzibunz aren't an AIO, they're a pocket nappy but they make them in extra large. We used them for DD1 because like your DS she was big for her age and at the time they were the biggest nappy we could find. They worked well for us.

nurture nappies has a section called TODDLER SIZES and TRAINING for exactly what you are asking about.

http://www.nurturenappies.com.au/store/WsP...tions.asp?ID=21

i cannot think of aio's that are for the over 16kg size, but i can think of some pocket brands that do - e.g Fuzzi bunz pockets and also Happy Heiny pockets (they do an XXL size) - for the HH, make sure you get the style that are both aplix AND snaps, not just aplix.
XL size is 13 - 18kg
XXL size is 18 - 27kg

HH make the OSFA and the sized versions.
go for the sized version , to get the XXL size.

for cloth trainers
many of them are made to contain one wee, that's it.
but some are pocket style, so you put in the absorbency needed e.g
- happy heiny pocket trainers
- bumwear trainers
- starbunz (more of an AIO with option of pocket as well)

blueberry trainers are aio style, pullup

i'm sure on the www.nappycino.com.au site, in the ages and stages section, there will be threads on "nappies for larger bubs" - which will give you more ideas.

http://www.nappycino.com.au/forum/getting-...kg-child-2.html
there's one

some wahms make larger sizes on request.

yyes.gif Get size large. They hold a LOT too -- about the same as a Bubblebubs.
