I have had two pregnacies.
With Shauna I didint find out until 10 weeks (unexpected pregnancy) so I did drink during this time.

With Molly I had been TTC and a soon as I got those two lines I drank zero amount for the rest of the pregnancy.

Its not worth the risk, I remember watching a doco once and they gave a women a ultrasound after drinking once drink.
The foetus was making these weird spasm jerky movements resulting from the alcohol. nno.gif .

So even 'small amounts' make some sort of impact.

Thrice blessed.
Only with DD1 before I realised I was pregnant (didn't get a BFP until I was 10 weeks). Had a couple of drinks at a friend's birthday dinner when I would have been around 4 weeks. Got pretty toasted off just two drinks too!

Never after that or with my other pregnancies no matter how much I craved a beer when DH was having one. DH abstained 95% of the time too because his drinking either made me queasy from the smell or I wanted one and didn't feel it was right to have even a taste.

Under everything, just another human being
How about "Yes, but after the first trimester".

I actually wonder what is the point of this poll? If the results show most women drink in pregnancy wont this lead to a feeling in pregnant/ planning on being pregnant women that it's "OK", while there is actually some convincing evidence that even moderate alcohol in pregnancy is a concern.

Why only ask about alcohol- how about smoking, other drugs?

I personally could not put a glass of alcohol to my lips knowing I was pregnant. It may be my choice to drink, but it's not my baby's - why would I do that to them?

Everyone would jump up and down and declare child abuse if I fed my baby alcohol once it was born..... but why do some people see that it's ok do it before they are born?
