DS has a rather large *ahem*. And I think this may be contributing to why he often refuses to wear undies.
Has anyone else faced this dilema?
Should I let him go comando? (I feel a bit prudish on this and prefer him to have underwear on) Or is there some other option? Maybe boxers or something?
Having never had that particular apendage I'm not really sure what is best for him.
And DH is no help, he seems thoroughly embarrassed by the whole situation.
I commented to him the other day that DS should only wear boardies when swimming as lycra is just way too revealing, and he turned a light shade of beetroot and walked away shaking his head!

My cousin has an extremely large penis. He was actually measured by dr's every year until 15 as at age 3 he was 4 inches long. Apparantly it can cause medical problems, impotence etc later in life.

If he is that big that he finds underwear uncomfortable I would buy the next size up, or maybe get him looked at to rule out any problems.

My son (7) is blessed, and hates underwear because it rubs, but I just bought the next size up and took in the waist for him which helps.

lol I dont think its anything to do with the size of it, one of my boys is not so well endowed but hates the constriction of underwear. If I dont check he's wearing it, he'd go to school commando :S

An alternative we trialled was boxer shorts, he did seem to prefer these but I got sick of them hanging over the top of his pants!

What??? An apprpraite thread? Of course it is. Just because the word penis is used doensn't make it taboo! It's really about undies for gods sake.

I would try boxers. If you can find those cotton ones that sit against the skin, can't think of the name, they might bw more comfortable as there is more material to keep him feeling "tucked in" i suppose

It is a genuine question about a parenting issue in regards to a child.
Isn't that what this place is for?
If you see can see anything else in that then you have serious issues.

Bonds undies are good, you need the type that have a 'pocket' at the front rather than the type that are just made of one piece of fabric (like women's underwear). Loose cotton boxers have seams that rub and can be uncomfortable, the fitted ones made out of stretch material, again with a pocket, are also good.

Whilst not wanting to comment on DS's penis, lol I will say that he is not a fan of undies and I have since bought him the little Bonds trunks, the boxers that hug his legs and he finds them really comfortable and has no problem wearing them. Best N Less have a cheaper brand too that he wears and they come in cool designs that little boys like.

Try boxers, maybe they will be better for him.

ETA: Was going to suggest trunks too - these are what DF prefers - the tighter boxers.
