Bit of a proud moment.
DD2 had a first solo comp and came 1st. Also being the youngest.
We didn't expect much, just for her to have fun and enjoy the experience, so a lovely surprise.
And a big boost for DD's confidence.

abccangel123 A huge congrats to your DD. You must be fairly local to me as we had solo comps running my way Mt Eliza and Cranbourne?? May I ask which club and section your DD is in?? My DD is a Junior at Carwen though doesn't do solos.

I love Cali for all it gives the girls. I did duty at a comp last weekend and watching the girls and young ladies was truly amazing..

We're in ACT so not very close to you mez70. DD's a tiny, but competed in the subjunior section.

Wow well done for her competing up a section that is huge and to do it as a Solo impressive. My DD went from subbies into a juniors team last year that due to lack of numbers had to merge with inters and it was a hard year. i could not imagine eventhinking of trying solo at a higher level. Well done

I think it would be easier in solos to move up a section than in teams.
Wow going from subbies straight to inters! That's intense, i can't even imagine what it'd be like. DD1 started subbies last year and having 2 extra items, learning clubs and march was a big step for us.

abcangel123 we were at the same comp biggrin.gif I didnt get to see any of the subbies sections though - I was there for mainly inters and seniors sessions (watching my daughter and coach compete). My DD came 3rd in her section - Inters div 2 graceful - and was also very happy with her result. You daughter did well to win a subbies section when she is only a tiny - she must have done a fantastic job with her routine! Which club is your daughter with?

Just thought I would give this a bump now that Team comp season has well and truly hit. My DD had her first comp with a new club last weekend and OMG they did so well. They got 2nds in March, freearm and Cali revue, 1st's in Clubs, Rods and aesthetics and a HC in Folk Dance which drum role please.............................. Also gave them the Aggregate (tied with another team) this was such a huge night, The club she joined had not been getting great results the past couple of years (not through not trying though) and DD's team old team was not super competitive either.. It was the FIRST Aggregate for our coach as well as all the girls.... so roll on CVI and the rest of the season..

I am loving watching all the new clubs I am seeing this year, watching costumes, work, and the music choices... Good luck to all the Cali mums and girls.
