Hi there and welcome the the Assisted Conception Buddy Group Forum!!!!

These Buddy Groups are a wonderful source of support and information. You can find people here who are doing the same treatment as you and who are going through the same hopes and fears.

Anyone can join any of the Buddy Groups. To join, you just pop into the Buddy Group and start posting!

Here's a little outline of who each Buddy Group is for ...

2WW BG
There is a new 2WW BG thread every month and it is intended for those who have their beta (pg test) during that month. The 2WW is the dreaded 2 week wait between ovulation/IUI/embryo transfer and when a pregnancy test can be done. The current month one will be pinned at the top of the forum

AC with Auto Immune Issues

For people doing AC with autoimmune issues such as ANA+, clotting factors, Hashimotos, Graves disease ect

Clomid and O.I. BG
This group is for anyone doing Ovulation Induction with tablets (like clomid / serophene) or injectibles (like gonal-f / puregon).

IUI and beyond BG
This group is for anyone doing IUI (Intra-uterine Insemination).

Ready, Set, Go Girls
This group is for anyone starting out in IVF/ICSI. It is mostly for people doing their first or second cycles.

Snap, Crackle, Pop
This group is for anyone who's done a number of rounds of fertility treatment. It is for people who don't feel like newbies, but who also don't feel like veterans.

Mums Doing AC
This is group is for anyone doing Assisted Conception who already has a child. You can join this groups regardless of whether your existing child/ren were conceived naturally or via AC.

PGD BG
This BG is for anyone undergoing Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
PGD involves carefully removing one or more cells from an embryo for analysis. From this tiny sample it can be determined whether an embryo has Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, Huntington's disease or any of a wide range of other genetic problems. Most commonly, PGD is used where the possibility that their offspring will inherit a genetic disease. Even though they may not have a problem with infertility, they choose to undergo a stimulated IVF cycle with the aim of producing a number of embryos. Genetic material from these embryos is tested to see if they carry the genetic disease, and only embryos that do not show the disease are transferred.


IVF Multiple Cycles and the longhaul BG (currently living in AC-Primary Infertility)
This group is for the AC 'Veterans'. A veteran shall be defined as someone who has had multiple failed IVF/infertility cycles and/or losses and no living children.


AC in the ATC BG
This group is for anyone from Canberra who is ttc via AC.

Conquering MFI through AC BG
This group is for those using AC because of Male Factor Infertility


Ladies in Waiting
For those of you waiting around...
The idea being that it is a group for all walks of AC.
It is meant to bring all the AC'ers together, help the newbies & learn from the oldies
It does not matter if you are on IUI, 1 shot at IVF, 6 shots, 50 shots, secondary or primary infertility..... as long as you can have a laugh & share the most needed support.

For all those undergoing IVF with the aded pressuer of being 35+

Childless - Not by Choice
This doesn't have to be a place for people who have strictly given up on having children, rather a place for people who are faced with the prospect of being childless not by choice, those who have made that difficult decision, or those who just don't know which direction they are going to head.

Please feel free to join any of the BGs.
