Libran Mummy
Hi everyone, haven't been able to post much but had to tell you my news - I am now 10.5 weeks preggers, due 31/3/06. Morning sickness (well, all day sickness) has been kicking me around a fair bit, more than my 1st pg, but FINALLY feeling a little better this week. Going for NT scan/blood test on 21/9 and will then decide whether to have CVS done. Had my first scan last week, bubby is almost 3cm LOL!

It's only early days, but I went into Myer and Harris Scarfe in Hobart and asked about maternity clothing, just to see what is available. Well - NOTHING - they no longer even stock it. Isn't that ridiculous? Where did you ladies get your maternity gear? I know there's Pumpkin Patch but they're v. expensive. I can't believe the 'big' stores are no longer stocking maternity gear!!

Congratulations!

I went to Kmart and Target for some maternity clothing, and Ebay is pretty good too. I brought a couple of pairs of pants from PP and then maternity shirts from other places, even some clothes just one size bigger do the trick

Hi another Lonnie girl here too
the one in the Quadrant has closed now - haven't priced Baby George yet.
I second Target particularly. I think it is good to get some good quality basics - jeans etc then top it up with other cheaper stuff. If you are in KMart regularly they sometimes have nice stuff.
I wanted to suggest tummy wraps - you wear them under normal tops to cover belly belts or undone zips etc. I just found some on ebay from a store called Emma's Bits. Only $8. There is another store called 4Mumz&Kidz on there too that sells them. I initally got a Belly Button Maternity one that was a lot more $$ but is very good. There are lots of very good online maternity shops.
You should also join our Due In March group if you haven't already - congratulations to BTW.

Hi Sue,

Congratulations!!

I'm in Hobart too, I noticed the other day that Myer no longer seemed to stock maternity.
Places in Hobart that stock cheaper maternity clothes are Target, K-Mart and Big W, Pumpkin Patch have some lovely clothes but they are that bit more expensive. I bought jeans and pants from Target and a few of nice tops from Pumpkin Patch on sale. There is also a maternity store in Sandy Bay called "Stork", never been there so I've no idea of the prices. B2K at Rosny used to stock some maternity wear as well.

Mummytobe2 - I am guessing Baby George is a baby clothing shop? I am going to Launnie this weekend and might take a look if that is the case

You can't scare me .. I have twins!!
Congrats!!

I actually just bought clothes a size or so too big for me! I knew with the twins I would explode .. and I am quite large to begin with, so they don't really make maternity clothes to suit!

Ebay has some lovely clothes ..
