I thought these threads would compliment the index thread well original.gif

So in this thread, list all the mama cloth brands you have tried- and tell us how you went. If there was a fault, make sure the seller was contacted before posting about it in here.

Also include details of the good/ not so good points, dont just say 'good' tongue.gif

I'm not really sure of what 'details' need to be included here, as I converted to cloth the month I conceived rolleyes.gif feel free to let me know wink.gif

Brand:
Size:
Fit:
Performance:
Comments:

please also disclose any relationship with seller/ maker of the mama cloth, whether it is relevant or not original.gif

Brand: Rad Pads
Size:post partum/nights
Fit: great length and width hardly know its there
Performance: excellant, finding that i dont need to change as often as a disposable one.
Comments: Love the pocket style of these they dry really fast and the corduroy backing seems to stop any slippage

Happy birthday Evelyn
Brand:Obsidian Star
Size: Goddess nightpads with wings, without wings
Heavy and medium flow goddess day pads
Fit: these are really long. If you are paranoid about covering everywhere, these are the pads for you. Excellent shape. They are really thin though, so don't feel like you are wearing a pillow. I prefer the ones with wings, as I found the wingless one would occasionally bunch.
Performance:Excellent, never had a leak.
Comments: Excellent customer service from seller, beautiful packaging. Good prices. A great starter for anyone thinking mama cloth, especially those with heavy flow.
Now my period in lighter (thanks cloth), I find the goddess length is a bit much for me, and I could probably get away with priestess length.

Brand:Outrageous
Size:Heavy flow and a medium flow
Fit:I have the snap in ones and I find they bunch in the middle. I would be more comfortable with more length on heavy days too. They are a great shape.
Performance:I find the medium flow ones leak through to the PUL shell so I can only use on light days, and I prefer not use PUL on light days. Likewise I find the heavy flow ones are more medium flow.
Comments: These are a great design, they just didn't work the best for me. Customer service was great. There was a delay in postage, because she is so popular, but there was an apolopgy and a bonus liner included.

Brand:Girly Bits
Size:24cm, 27cm, 30 cm, 33cm and liners
Fit:I find the liners too short for me. But the pads are a great shape and fit for me, although the 24cm doesn't offer enough coverage for me to be confident on heavy days (I am paranoid).
Performance:I do find I change these more often because of the lack of PUL. The bamboo soaker ones and my customs are able to handle heavy flow.
Comments: I like the versatility of having no PUL. The sewing is flawless and the prints are gorgeous. I prefer the hemp/silk topped ones the most, then the bamboo velour for comfort. I don't find the hemp fleece topped ones very comfortable. Excellent and extremely helpful customer service from the maker.
The bamboo ones take a long time to dry.

Brand:The Jade Lady by Nappy Chappies
Size:24cm I think, plus a liner
Fit:The pads are a little short for me
Performance:I find the length and lack of PUL relegate these ones to light flow days, where they work very well. The liner is my favourite liner ever.
Comments: The cotton velour is very comfortable. The price was great for people wishing to pad laughing2.gif out their stash.

Brand:Pink Bits by Jolmaz
Size:length was great
Fit:It is an interesting shape and I didn't think it would work, but it did. I do prefer pads with wings, but this is a good option for those who want something very trim. The one I have doesn't sit straight, I'm not sure if it is meant to do that, but I don't like it.
Performance:was absorbent enough on medium to heavy days. The minkee is so comfortable, and I was surprised that it didn't stain.
Comments: Great price. Postage was a little slow with no explanation.

Brand:Nice Knickers
Size:Nights, longs and liners
Fit:The nights are a great fit and provide excellent coverage. The longs are a great length, but I find the top a bit too narrow on heavy days. The liners are a great fit. I also have a night pad in the previous design, and much prefer the coverage and shape of the new one.
Performance:The nights are great because of the PUL and shape. I don't think I have had an actual leak with the longs, but my fit issues mean that I don't feel 100% confident in them. The liners are one of my favourites, especially the bamboo velour ones sold through Wild Child Nappies.
Comments: Nice Knickers have the most gorgeous packaging. Excellent and fast customer service from Nice Knickers and her resellers.

Brand:Lady Tango regular
Size: great length and coverage
Fit:wasn't sure about the shape at first, but it is great. I like that there are two snaps to adjust the fit through the crotch.
Performance:The PUL and great fit combine to make an excellent performing pad. No leaks. I'm not a huge fan of synthetic tops, but they are convenient for going out, and I definitely find the microfleece on these more comfortable than the suedecloth on one of my Nice Knickers pads.
Comments: I absolutely adore the stitching on these pads. Just had to mention that.

Brand:Angel pads
Size:I think it is a heavy flow one.
Fit:Excellent, these are my favourite shaped day pad
Performance:I find these more suitable to a medium flow to me. I would like to try them with PUL backing because I think they would be excellent.
Comments: Lovely fabric selection, perfect sewing.

Brand:Moondance Mama
Size:just the liners
Fit:I like the length, but they are a bit narrow
Performance:Does the job and the bamboo velour is very comfortable
Comments: Great customer service.

Brand:Remy liners by Peep-O
Size:liner
Fit:Good length and shape
Performance:Works well and very comfortable
Comments:A+ customer service and fantastic price.
