Im renting through one real estate and my house is for sale through another r/e .

I have no problems with my r/e they are great but she rang me today because the other r/e had contacted them saying that im not allowing people through and that my house is a mess.

Only 3 people have come through and it has been for when they asked.
On sat someone else wanted to come through but i said no because it wasnt a good day , before i could suggest aother day the selling agent had hung up the phone.

As for my house being a mess that is bull crap i hate mess and i would never let a stranger walk into my house if it was a mess & my agent couldnt understand it either as she has never seen it untidy let alone a mess.

So now my land lord is thinking of evicting me though i have done nothing wrong , if i could move out tomorrow i would there just isnt any rentals .

Plus 5 weeks ago i gave a property report of some pretty urgent repairs and requested a rent decrease due to having people come through and she hasnt got back to me on that.

this is stressing me out i wish i could move so then i wouldnt have this crap but where im a suposed to go.

I am a little confused about your story. Are you in one house renting it and selling another separate house through a different real estate agent?
How is it relevant what you are doing as a tenant to the agent who is selling a house for you?

And how do you know your landlord is thinking of throwing you out? You can't be thrown out for having a messy house or not showing people through if it has only been the once and it wasn't convenient. That is ridiculous. IF they decide to ask you to leave there is legal process they must follow and you will be notified in writing and have plenty of notice. Don't panic yet!!
Can you clarify the position a bit better please?

The same property is also for sale, through Real Estate Agent B.

You told RE B they couldnt bring people through on Saturday because it wasnt a good day. RE B then rang RE A and had a whinge saying you werent letting people through and that your house is a mess. RE A now are threatening to evict you.

Is that right?

Firstly RE A do not have a legal right to evict you on heresay. Tell them in the politest way that if there is any trouble, you know your rights, and you'll be going straight to the tenancies tribunal. As far as your repairs, put them in writing if they arent already. If they are in writing, the RE has to do something about them. Good luck with the rent decrease request, somehow I dont think they'll do that for you, but doesnt hurt to ask.

Ring the tenancies advice line in your state if there is any trouble!

I would have thought the landlord couldnt evict you on hearsay either? I would be going to the tribunal and findout what your rights are...

Be very wary of RE-A. They are most certainly on the landlords side as that is where they get their $$ from....
If you are paying your rent on time etc the landlord would be an idiot to evict you as he will have trouble getting a new tenant into a house that's for sale. I'd say it's just a threat from RE-A to keep you in line. Don't fret....

Don't things like that just get your goat? Just to let you know, I have a general idea as to where you are coming from (although my experience wasn't as bad as yours)

I was trying to transfer from one city to a rental property within the same company in another city. The person in charge of the transfer told me he wasn't sure if he could allow it because I have had bags of garbage in my entrance way. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about because I have never had bags of garbage left in my apartment. He told me one day when the cleaners came in to clean up from a flood (from the apartment above me) they told him they saw bags of garbage in my entrance. I told him 'no, that wasn't garbage. They came on the day we took our recyclables to the green depot and the bags in the entrance were only empty, cleaned out recyclables' He sounded like he didn't believe us, but luckly we did end up getting the transfer.

If your rental company is anything like ours, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to get back to you. Our fridge broke on a Wednesday and instead of fixing it on that day, they didn't show up until the following Monday. By then all of our food had gone bad and we put in for a food reimbursment request. That was the beginning of April, 2006, and we only got our reimbursment last month.

Not to mention, that when we moved in my cat kept going to two spots in the living room and sniffing them with her mouth open. We suspected that the person who lived there before us had a pet that peed on the carpet, so we requested to have a black light inspection to accompy our regular inspection. No matter how much I bugged and bugged, it was never done, and when we moved out they insisted on doing a black light inspection since we have a cat. I thought for sure we wouldn't get the transfer because I was certain there was an animal living there before us that peed on the carpet, but luckly nothing showed up under the light. Before he started the inspection, I reminded him that I requested a black light inspection when I moved in and it was never done, and I asked him how he could prove anything that would show up under the light was actually from our cat, and he just said that if anything showed up, our transfer wouldn't be approved.

i am always wary ,but i really think they are on our side because the owner has put the house on the market with another r/e.

My rent is always on time and the house is far cleaner now than when i moved in so yes they would be stupid to kick us out, but i really want to move now so then they will regret being so horrible.
