Hi

I already have a little boy, and we're trying for our second. I'm having tests done at the moment, but it looks like I'll be starting serophene next month. Is anybody else taking this? If so what side effects are you having?

I'm a bit concerned about the multiple pregnancies, what are the chances of having twins?

Cheers

Hi! There are plenty of EB member using Clomid/Serophene. There is also a Clomid Buddy Group you can join. The risk of multiples is around the 10% mark so not very high. My side effect weren't too bad - hot flushes, ovulation pain as my dose increased and tender breats. Good luck.

Be kinder than necessary everyone is fighting some kind of battl
Hi there,

The only side effects I had with Clomid were the hot flushes (although I was only on a fairly low dose). I was also told the chances of multiples are pretty low. Plus your FS or GP will be keeping an eye on your hormone levels so if it looks like there might be too many eggs developing you'll probably be advised to use contraception for that month (speaking from experience!!).

Good luck

I had different symptoms every cycle I did - dizziness, nausea, hot flushes, headaches etc but never all at the same time. Mainly though in the later cycles I had insomnia. My symptoms seemed to appear a few days afer I had finished taking my tablets.

OK, thanks for the replies. I'll have a look for the clomid/serophene buddy group.

Good luck
