We make finger puppets out of egg boxes.

We cut out the bits, one is for the body and one for the head, just make a slit to put the head in and glue it then you can paint it.
You can make a mouse, giraffe, lion, crocodile. We love sticking the wobbly eyes on and then when finished they look great to play with.

If evolution really works, why do mums only have 2 hands?
Hi,
What about paper bag puppets, you just get a brown paper lunch bag and use whatever paper, stickers etc you have around the house to decorate it. You can then do a puppet show.

DD (14m) and I have been playing with playdough. At the moment she's not up to using cookie cutters, rolling pins and other playdough accesories and it's been a bit boring.

Today I used cheap stacking cups (that I got from the warehouse for $2) and rolled the playdough into little balls. We put the playdough in and out of the different coloured cups, me naming the coloured cups, the I let her also play with the playdough container, putting the lid on and "packing away".

Was a bit more fun, hopefully teaching her her colours a little, and good fine motor especailly with putting the lid on and off and picking the tiny balls up and getting them out.
