Just a thought

... a kit that allows her to make her own jewellery!
... scrapbooking kit found in Kmart, Target or Big W
... board game - junior scrabble, monopoly
... groovy beach towel, beach bag
... vouchers - so that she can experience the joy of buying her gift without handing the money over iykwim!!
... fashionable jewellery

Hope this helps!

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
At 11 I would have loved
- books
- jewellery
- make up (you know the packs with lip gloss & nail polish etc)
- bath stuff

al the PP's suggestions are really good too.

older than I feel
My DD is 10, so pretty close original.gif

She is getting a watch for Christmas.

She is also hoping for an ipod - hhmmm, we'll have to see about that, but maybe a cheapie mp3 player with an itunes voucher.

It really depends on your budget.

My step daughter is 11, so ive got a pretty good idea......
although each kid is different!

- SD is currently VERY into "High School Musical" which is a disney DVD. I watched it with her on the weekend, and it was great. So im thinking of getting her this for chrissy.

-you can get some great 'kits' these days....to make photo frames, jewellery, 'leadlight' window stickers.

- My SD is also a keen scrap booker.

GOod luck.,
