Excellent - thanks for this - I'll have a proper read in a minute..

The slow cooker is my favourite way of cooking (except for the BBQ) you chuck stuff in et voila - the house smells nice (oh - and there's food too!) biggrin.gif

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
Thanks for this thread! With winter coming up I am determined to make much more use of my slow cooker - it make slife so much easier when I get home from work and dinner is ready.

The days I work I leave at 6:20 am and by the time I get home from picking my girls up in the afternoon which is about 4:15pm so, too late to put the cooker on. I know it's too early to put the slow cooker on before I leave for work. Is it safe to buy a timer and set the timer for the time I would have put the cooker on?
