'I love you to the moon and back!'
Today I tried to keep my toddler up untill 11.30am Normally she'll go to bed around 10-10.30 Today I thought I'd see if a sleep after lunch would work better.

So, in the morning I washed her sheets and pillow case, put them through the dryer and re-made her bed.

She didn't eat much lunch, I figured that could just be because she is teething yet again, so I gave her a bottle and put her to bed. I had to go into her once because she was talking to her toy and not interested in sleep.
In about 15-20 minuets she was still quiet, so I thought 'I'll just check her' She was quiet all right, She had pooed in her nappy, taken her nappy off, then proceeded to spread the poo everywhere!! All over her sheets, over her pillow, over her clothes, over her arms, legs and body. I got soooooooo mad with her!!!

I'm just curious, is my DD the only child who has done this? or Has this happened to someone else???

TIA

love Luci

I think this is a girl thing. I did it as a child and my niece did it too. My neice had to be seriously pinned into whatever she wore to bed otherwise if she awake in her cot she'd smear. Her father got ticked off with her one day (after months of this going on)and put her under a cold shower... she hasn't smeared since. She was about 2.5 yo. I know the cold shower seems pretty extreme but it appeared to work.
I think my dad hosed me in the garden. Got to ove male responses to things original.gif

butterfli,

I must say I laughed reading your post. I'm sure you were angry but what a wonderful 21st story for you to tell!!! original.gif

My DS has not done this but he has learnt how to unzip his sleeping bag and take his pj bottoms off. Many times I find him standing in just his nappy. I so hope he doesn't figure it out!!

They need to invent tamper proof nappies!

Good luck - Vicky

LOL! I can see how you would be upset, but trust me, you will laugh about it in a few years! My DD is 2.5 and loves to do a poo instead of going to sleep. She then attempts to clean herself up, takes her nappy off and gets wipes to wipe herself and all. She ends up with poo and dirty wipes everywhere! I have started using her baby monitor again so I can listen to what she's up to and even sometimes spend a quite a few minutes peeping under the crack of her door!
The joys!
Sarah.

yep.

My dd did it in the living room just before mum came to pick her up for church. She had her nice skirt on, stockings, frilly top and her pink suede boots. And it went everywhere on the carpet and all over her. I could have died! I had to give her another bath and put on another dress. Mum came and they were running late and asked me what had happened and I told her and she just laughed at my face. "You did that to me so many times and now you got one back!".

“Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
My eldest did it frequently. I'd be washing up and she would appear behind me with the biggest grin, stark naked carrying a pooey nappy and covered in the stuff. She used to wipe it all over her cot as well.

She grew out of it but my youngest is getting to the age and I've got my fingers crossed soooooo tightly that she doesn't do the same tongue.gif

Every snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
LOL the dreaded 'poo painting' stage, with all its variations! I was horrified when this loomed and was determined to avoid the final stage; luckily by putting overalls on him (& later her!) and by putting the nappy on backwards, I avoided the painting bit (they both only got to the stripping stage LOL).
Try that!
cheers,
Michele
