Hi girls I was just wondering if any of you have any ideas about what we should do for a night light for our 3 year old when we are camping? We did everything we could since he was born to discourage a night light but to no avail. He started asking for one about 6 months ago and now cant sleep without one. So our last camping trip was difficult because we didnt have any power. We have a baby too so not really sure what to do about it. Thanks.

I've got a battery operated night light made by energizer that works really well that I got from Coles. They had a few choices of themes, buzz lightyear, winnie, disney princess etc.
I can't find the packaging, but it promised lots of hours of use. The globe looks like its a LED type, I think that's why its long lasting. It's also not too bright, more a glow than a beam of light. It will definitely be coming with us when we go camping next month! I used to have a battery operated dome light that I got from BigW, but the batteries never lasted. Good luck! I was about to suggest the same light. Erin LOVES her Disney Princess dome ... she sleeps cuddling it (with it turned off ... she rarely turns it on!). The only place I have found them is Coles, amongst the batteries/electrical stuff.
It is called an Energizer Cozy Glow Nightlight. It runs on 4 AA batteries, they claim it runs for 50 hours with the batteries provided, and 160 hours if you buy Energizer Max batteries. I bought a "spare" this morning for $19.99 Jo2+2
Angel Baby - Rachel - born still 21/11/00 (23 weeks)
Matthew & Erin 7/11/01

I was going to suggest the exact same thing.
I got mine from K-Mart, but our local Coles sells them as well. My DD loves it and quite happily snuggles up with it near the top of the bed each night. The batteries do last well, but I went and got rechargable ones as we sometimes forget to turn it off each morning. |
