Hi all.. do any of you have any rec's for OBs operating under no gap scheme for NRMA.. that deliver at women's hospital randwick ? Otherwise I guess I'll go public there.

Hi Aprill,

If you joined NRMA before August (I thought it was May not sure though?) 2002 NRMA will be pay all out of pocket expenses related to the birth of your child no matter which OB you choose. This includes the anethesist (sp?). It does not include checkups. As a added bonus they also give you money to help with nappies, formula etc. The amount is worked out on how long you spent in hospital. For eg. I spent 5 days in hospital and received $150. If I had a shorter stay I would have been entitled to more.

I have saved $1500 in gap fees for my son and am looking at saving $2000 for bubs delivery in November.
Well worth it!

wow... thats not a bad deal. unfortunately I only joined NRMA
in october 2002 so i miss out on this.. but i'll ring a few OBs
that deliver at randwick and camperdown and see what they
say about delivery fees.

You might like to try Dr Alex Szirt - he works out of both Royal Women's & Prince of Wales Private - he charges $500 up front and thats it as far as I can gather.

he's situated in kingsford on Anzac Parade.
