DH isn't one to suggest names before the 3rd trimester so i was taken aback when he said he'd really love to call this baby Daisy if it is a girl.

I must admit, it is really growing on me and I'm starting to seriously consider it. However i mentioned it to my mum & sister who immediately told me it sounds like a "country bumpkin" & "redneck hick" name sad.gif blink.gif

FWIW, i never mention names to others before the baby is born and I'm wishing i'd never mentioned it now. Looking at my older girls Daisy would really suit them and it fits nicely with our other children's names.

I'm curious to hear other first impressions of the name Daisy?
Too cutesy, folky, country bumpkin? original.gif

Daisy is cute - too cute for a child of mine (my pick was Wilhelmina or Ursula for this baby if a girl, so you catch my drift) but not offensive. I still think it would be better as a nickname but really, who gives a toss what others think? You love it, then it's lovely for your little person original.gif

It's cute but is it a good name for a grown woman? Maybe... I don't know. It's NMS.

Too frilly for me.

DD has a friend called Daisy who is 12. It really doesn't suit her imo. I imagine someone quite petite, blonde and dainty.

Moooooooo.

Sorry, it is the first thing I think of when I hear the name Daisy, closely followed by "Daisy daisy give me your answer do, I'm so crazy etc etc".

It is a cute name but not one I could use.

But it's not my baby wink.gif if you like it, go for it. In the scheme of different names it is certainly not too out there.
