So, I desperately need some new gym pants, currently I swear Nike Capris and went to get some new ones today but they have changed the style a little, luckily I tried them on and deep squatted in the change room because when I looked back in the mirror I copped a lovely view of my g-string as the seat of the capris stretched and became see-through.
I have seen this happen to others at the gym (usually when they are on the stationary bikes) and always assumed they were wearing cheap tights. I then popped my old pair back on and did the same squat, looked back and to my delight I had near to no but crack exposure, so at least I have not been offending anyone while I perform my deep barbell back squats. (If I have they must have been looking pretty hard ) So, what do I wear on my squat days? Should I turn to a heavier track pant? Does anyone know of a capri tight that doesn't go see through when stretched? Or should I just suck it up and bare my cheeks with pride? As a side note, as there is a hint of transparency in my old favs when stretched into a deep squat, I sure am glad I don't go commando ;-) |

I love my skirt sports capris: they're normal capris but with a skirt covering your bum. I think they're cute and stylish and they fit and wear very well.
This is the official AU store but you can get them elsewhere for cheaper: http://injinjiper.cart.net.au/store/skirt-...ze-capri-skirt/ |

Lorna Jane tights,
Bloch tights. You need tights that are heavier for want of a better term. Generally with tights, if I can push my hand into them in the a*se and see my hand I don't buy them as they will be see through. If I can't see my hand, I buy them. |

I knew one day I would have to bite the bullet and try LJ, i might pop into the Lj store tomorrow. I am sad to give up my fav trusty Nike brand :-(
I can't imagine liking the skirts, maybe for running (which I dont have the see through problem with anyway) but not squatting, lunging and deadlifting. |

I have the Myer branded pants. Nice and thick, and not too expensive.

I assume by tights others mean legging type things, not the things with feet in that you wear under skirts and dresses?
I have running bare thick cotton 3/4 pants and Nike 3/4 running leggings with the air vent at the waistband and they are nice and thick with no chance of going see through when squatting. This post has been edited by Canberra chick: 28/02/2013, 06:46 PM |

ooooh, I like the look of the Bloch tights, to scared to buy online without trying them on.
I'll make a list and go check out Rebel and Lorna Jane. Thanks everyone, |
