Sorry, me again! Feel like I’m posting on this sub-forum every day atm lol

So after a long discussion with DH we’ve decided to use the middle name Sindy after my mum. It’s not a name we particularly like but for a few reasons we’ve decided against variations/alternatives to honour her.

Our front runner first name was Phoebe but it definitely doesn’t work with Sindy so now we are on the hunt for new first names!

Her big sister is Alyssa Mae (short surname) and we are looking for names outside the top 10 but not too unusual.

Suggestions?

Jane Sindy - At the moment I really like that Jane is well-known and sleek but not in the top hundred. Might be too short with your last name, though? It will be the only 1-syllable name I mention because of that, but I do think short first and short last can work together depending on the combo.

Catherine Sindy - Catherine is #159, in NSW at least.
Veronica Sindy
Iona Sindy
Gabrielle Sindy
Meredith Sindy
Lillian Sindy - Lillian, Liliana, Laurel, etc. remind me of Lily (which I like) minus some of the popularity.
Marigold Sindy - Uncommon but not difficult. Kind of similar feel as Magnolia, which I also like.

Probably avoid any y ending names or y sounding endings which does rule out quite a few names - your first choice Phoebe of course being one of them.

I would avoid any s sound ending names too - so Eloise Sindy , one of PP's suggestions, doesnt work that well to me.

Catherine Sindy, as PP suggested, is nice.

Have avoided one syllable names as you say your surname is short and might not work with that.
