Hi there

Does anyone know of a bread brand that doesn't contain gluten, soy, dairy of preservative 282 please? Soy emulsifier is ok but can't have soy flour as the main ingredient.

Enzo's Hi-top bread is gluten/wheat/dairy/soy/nut/egg/fructose free. The ingredients on the pack does not list preservative 282.

Good luck for DS1 I had to get gluten/soy/egg free and it was really hard to find.

what about using a bread mix and making it yourself - I use Springhill Farm Bread mixes and a crappy hand held mixer. I know its preservative free but not about soy free - will check out the ingredients for you. They also have a fruit bread mix and a seed bread mix. you can only buy online (although Ithink some IGAs stock it). I had never made bread before this and it turns out perfect everytime.

Agh... You're speaking my language here.

No pre-made brands are available where I live. There is an IGA packet mix the daycare found and make, but I don't like it so just make my own from scratch (I invested in a Thermomix 3yrs ago to help with the allergies).

I think Orgran also have a premix you can make that is ok, just hard and REALLY white lol. (Grose for me but kids ate it)

ETA - I'm happy to pass on the TMX recipe that you could try in a food processor / blender and see if it is any good that way if you want. Just let me know.

Choices gluten free have a low allergen range, and most of their products are soy free (all of them are gluten and dairy free). You can buy online via their website. They also have a range of mixes for muffins and things like that that you can add your own flavourings to that are very nice.

You could also try Deeks - not sure what they have, but they're worth a look.

We couldn't find a packaged bread with those requirements either so we have started making our own, just using the food processor and oven. No bread maker required. Its really easy to make. We make a double batch and freeze it. It thaws well and is nice toasted or untoasted, it makes a great sandwich for school. I also really wanted a bread that could be eaten untoasted. The recipe will also make bread rolls and pizza base if you roll into a ball or spread on a pizza tray and cook for less time.

I found it cheaper than buying the bread too, which was a bonus. Let me know if you want the recipe. I think I had posted the link earlier in the coeliac general chat discussion.
