Lucia - loo-see-uh or loo-che-uh or loo-sha?
Or
Lucianna - loo-see-ana or loo-che-ana
I love the name Lucy, but its the name of BILs dog, so I was trying to come up with something slightly different, but that could still be kind of shortened to Lucy at home.
Other ideas I've had (but don't like as much):LucindaLucielle
Can you think of any others?
Middle name is likely to be Carina.

I say loo-see-uh. But really I would steer slightly by last names, I tend to default to Spanish as habit but a strongly Italian name would make me consciously guess loo-chee-uh.

I know Loo-sha is valid but I'd never guess it. I take correction well though!

I like Lucienne and Lucilla. My sister has dibsed Lucinda in any case so its all hypothetical to me. biggrin.gif

Loo-chi-uh, as that's how you'd pronounce it in Italian.

Lucia - loo-see-uh.

But I think only because I already know one, pronounced this way.

If I'm in name land Loo-see-a. But I could glance at it and thing Loo-sha like the suburb St Lucia in Brisbane.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
Loo-chee-ah

Really dislike Loo-See-AH, completely ruins the name for me.

There are at least 3 valid pronunciations of Lucia, as pps have mentioned, so if I saw it written I would ask.
