My snarking is a medical condition.
I detest them. Especially the old favourite when you are supposed to pretend all day you have forgotten their birthday. Yuk. Just have a party.

I like cats, but I couldn't eat a whole one.
I would never forgive someone who threw me a surprise party. It would be all about their gratification and not mine.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
I'd love one! But I really think its a matter of knowing the person and can understand why some people hate them.

or Fembo maybe...
Love them wub.gif

Have only ever had one thrown for me, it was wonderful hheart.gif
Actually DH and his sisters did kind of throw me a surprise bridal shower - that was awesome too. It's so nice to think that someone would make that big an effort for you without you ever even asking. And you get saved all the hassle of organising it yourself! I hate organising...

I am not a great believer in making a fuss over adult's birthdays and would seriously murder anyone who ever gave me a surprise party.

I always wanted to have a surprise party! biggrin.gif I love a great surprise! It makes me go gooey on the inside - weird I know lol ph34r.gif

I tried to organise a surprise party for my then bf (now DH) but it backfired on me as we couldn't go back to his house (where the party was being set up) and all he wanted to do was go back to his house. I ended up breaking down and telling him what was happening and why he couldn't go back to his house because he was starting to get frustrated and cranky with me. ddoh.gif He admitted in the end that he doesn't like surprises so I made a promise with him to never ever do it to him again as it stressed me out lol.

I would hate to be thrown a surprise party. I had a nightmare once that my now husband threw a surprise wedding for us and I ended up hyperventilating and wanting to run away.

I accidentally cancelled my own surprise party one year - I forgot to mention that I was going to be in rehearsals all day on my birthday. My friends "made it up to me" by surprising me with dinner out, luckily just 3 of them. The thought was really sweet, but it was very uncomfortable.
