DH has recently set up a FB account and we are trying to work out why things show up differently on his page compared to mine. For example, there is a fundraiser that we were both involved in yesterday that we both liked on FB (it was an event page and we both accepted the invite). Any updates before the event and now photos that people took on the day are showing up in my timeline, but for some reason, not on his. He can access them by going through to the event itself, but he doesn't get any notifications that there has been any activity and it doesn't show on his timeline. I get both. The only ones that he has seen on his timeline are the ones where I have commented or liked a photo.

Is there a setting he can change so that he will get updates on his timeline as well?

This is a well known facebook issue, even if you do select an option to see all you still won't. I know a fix for seeing your friends posts, but not for pages you like. The friends one is:

In your feed/wall thing find a post by someone whose posts you want to see, hover over their picture next to the post but don't click it. A thing should pop up next to it with their picture again, and a little rectangle that says 'friends' with a tick, next to 'message'. Hover over the 'friends' but don't click, a menu should appear, go down to 'settings', click that and under 'how many updates' choose 'all updates'.

The more you engage with a page, the more you will see of it in your feed. You need to be leaving comments or liking posts.

There are so many variables. Is there a chance you "like" the person/page who created the event as well as joining, while he only joined the event without liking the originator?
