Paul Kelly is AMAZING!!!! I saw him a few years ago and his concert was one of the best I've been to (and I've been to many). He is a true artist.

I've not seen Neil Finn but I imagine he would be on a similar par.

They are both such great musicians and songwriters.

Also have fun!

I am consumed with jealousy.

I would have sold my left kidney to go to that show.
I have know of it since it was but a glimmer of an idea. (yes I follow PK, get email updates et. al. - one could describe me as a 'tragic fan')

Paul Kelly is spine chillingly wonderful live OP! Haven't seen Neil Finn live but one can only guess he is exceptional as well.

Reporting back - other than that it had to end that was a night of complete perfection. Paul Kelly has the most amazing intense presence and tells his stories in a way that really make connections. Neil Finn, what can I say. I worship the very ground he walks on. Hearing him sing transports me, I feel like my soul has been soothed. The sharing of songs between them was brilliant, hearing the slight nuances in the others performance , them talking about things they recognise & admire in each other and the comfortable and quite comic interaction with the crowd was just pure delight.

ETA - I've been a long time fan of Paul kelly but have only seen him live briefly once before at a music festival a couple of years ago. Neil Finn is my long time musical love & I've been lucky enough to see him perform with Crowded House several times between 1987 and 2007.

oh I'm so jealous OP! I saw Paul Kelly open for Bob Dylan a couple of years ago and despite being a massive Dylan fan I have to say that Paul was better. Bob must have been having an off night lol. PK is truly a living national treasure.

I'm so jealous OP. I've been a massive fan of PK for as long as I can remember and a couple of years ago when he did his A-Z tour I got to go to all four nights! I love Crowded House too - yes, I am the product of a kiwi father and and Aussie mother tongue.gif

Enjoy!
