We buy the 500g tubs of Jalna yoghurt and liquid gathers at the top of the yoghurt.

I tip the liguid out but my DH mixes it in the yoghurt and make the yoghurt less thick.

What are you meant to do with the liquid?

what do you do with it??

I know, random question for a Sunday...

The liquid is part of it. Jalna is closer to a joghurt made at home in the old ways which if I remember rightly had the liquid.

Obviously the consumer can decide what they want to do. I don't tip it off or mix it in deliberately. Just spoon it all together.

ETA just like junket if anyone still has that nowadays.

Isn't it whey? I don't mix it, but I do pour it out onto DS's cereal.

eta: a quick google search says that it has a lot of protein in it and is beneficial. So I wouldn't waste it.
