DS is night weaning at the moment so I need to express a little bit early in the morning before he's awake. Is it ok to mix the different days' ebm together so I can freeze more ? I only have a bit each morning so with three day's worth, it's been in fridge and now I want to freeze. This means the oldest milk is 72 hours old and has been in the fridge.

Yes you can mix but the way to do it is freeze one lot, then pour the next on top and freeze etc. Its interesting to see how it differs day to day. I don't think it would be ok to freeze the 72hr one.

I was taught to express, cool it in the fridge and then freeze it. To add to it you need to cool the milk in the fridge before pouring it on top of your frozen milk. I would start fresh and not freeze the 72 hour old milk.

Milk lasts 3-5 days in the fridge, so I wouldn't have a problem freezing your milk. I would also, and have, mix it before freezing as long as it is all chilled.
