Woman (57) fights off would-be rapist

Herald Reporter

Early Monday morning, police arrested a 22-YEAR-OLD man after a 57-year-old Epworth woman he attempted to rape overpowered him when she tugged at his testicles.

The man, Emmanuel Munumani (22), is said to have followed the woman into the bush where she had gone to gather firewood according to police spokesman Thomas Donegan.

He allegedly started fondling the woman before removing his trousers and threatening to hurt her if she cried for help.

"I maintained calm and pretended to accept his advances," the victim said.

The woman suddenly grabbed Munumani's testicles and started pulling them until he lost consciousness. Police arrested the would-be rapist at the scene.

Police said Mr. Munumani is on the wanted list in connection with several other rape cases committed in the area.

Pity she didn't pull them right off.

What sh*ts me is he'll probably only get a light sentence because he will be charged with "attempted" rape. He didn't rape her because she managed to fight him off, not because he had a change of mind, so why should the sentence be less?
