Hi ladies ,
This is my first time posting here. I am 29 and have had 3 miscarriages in the last year. All unexplained except for one when bub had an extra set of chromosomes. All testing showed both me and hubby to be ok.
I have PCOS but fall pregnant very easily. We have never made it past 9 weeks.
I am now pregnant again and went in for an early scan today. I believe I should be 6 weels. I have been freaking out as so many bad exps in the past.
The OB saw the yolk sac and baby but no HB. He said not too worry too much as too early and it is positive everything else looks ok.
But of course I am freaking out! I had to stay home from work because I have been crying and I am so worried... I just want our baby to be OK.
I know it is still early and I need to keep hope but it is hard. I go back for a second scan on Wed.
Did anyone else I have a similar exp where they didn't see the HB at 6 weeks but everything was Ok?
This time I am on 200mg progesterone, 100mg asprin and 1000mg metformin. Really hoping this will help.

HI OP...I was in a similar situation with DS2 ....no heat beat detected at around 6 week....bloods were good, pregnancy hormones rising....that's what my OB went on. I too was PCOS and on metformin...I was told to stay on it for the duration of the pregnancy (which I did).

My IVF clinic, which routinely scans all their clients early in pregnancy, won't do a scan prior to 6 wks + 3 days because there are too many bubs prior to that without heartbeats. This is their 'magic number' so to speak. Fingers crossed that your bubs heart beat will appear over the next few days.

I had a scan at 5 weeks 6 days (from last menstrual period), all that was visible was the sac, no yolk, no heart beat, they said it was consistent with a 5 week pregnancy. After reading the report I was convinced I would miscarry again.

I went back at 9 weeks 4 days by LMP, heart beat was there, baby was measuring a week behind, seems I ovulated on day 21 (though it took me a while to realise this, I just kept thinking the pregnancy would end)..

But everything has progressed fine, I'm now 26 weeks pregnant.

I hope it works out well for you, and you see the heart beat at the next scan.

ah nice to hear lots of positive stories , thanks ladies ! :)Had my hcg and progesterone levels tested today and will find out results on Monday. Will get repeat Hcg on Monday to make sure it is rising as should. My hcg levels have always been very low in all my pregnancies, so hopefully this time things will look ok.*fingers crossed * and will try to calm down and hope for the best !

Hi ladies, just letting you know we had another u/s today and we say the heartbeat !!!!Good rate of 130 I couldn't be happier !! Still freaking out after three losses and almost seems too good to be true ... but we have never got to the point of a strong HB so hopefully this is a very good sign for us.Thanks for help and support .

Hey OP,

First of all big hugs. It's tough. I can relate to a small degree.

I *personally* know of a few people (so not one, a few) who had no heartbeat at 6 or 7 weeks and went on to have beautiful, healthy babies. Easy pregnancy, easy birth.

Wonderful news, congratulations!! A strong heartbeat is a really good sign, good luck for the rest of your pregnancy
