I would start with the smallest job - very reinforcing to have it done and dusted. Maybe the linen cupboard?
When I sort out, I keep boxes in the back of my car and try to move stuff straight into the boot, then do weekly drops at Salvos. Otherwise stuff just gets moved from one pile to another. Good luck and enjoy your 'free' time! |

Hello
I would start with the general cleaning first. There is no point, going through cupboards etc, until you are on top of the basics. Once you have washing, floors, cleared surfaces, under control, then I would move onto the linen press and the pantry. Next I would clear out your daughter's room, followed by your wardrobe. Find an area to group items that you wish to sell/give away, and put all items there, as you are cleaning/culling. You can get a lot done in 4.5 hours. I like to give myself a rough time estimate and a check list , of how long a job should take me, and what I would like to accomplish......this stops me from procrastinating and getting side tracked. You will feel so much better, once everything is sorted. Good luck |
