EB geeks and nerds - I need your help!

To the EB geeks and nerds - I need your help! DH is a dyed in the wool nerd. He loves all tech and computer games. He is still lamenting the axing of Firefly. He plays D&D. For his 30th he wants a "geek experience" present. Recently some friends did the IRL Shooter thing where you run around a warehouse full of zombies. Something like that, but perhaps not that because his friends have already done it. He has plenty of geek friends to make this a group geek experience. I wonder if they do a Star Trek themed murder mystery party... Anyway, I am totally stuck for ideas! Please please please can anyone point me in the right direction? Or ask your geeky other half for me? Thanks!

Hire a movie theatre for a private screening of Serenity. Or other favourite movie of choice. Get a bunch of large projectors/screens and game consoles together for the mother of all game nights. Arrange catering (the spit roast was very popular) and plenty of booze. You could also do this with a Warhammer painting day where all his friends can bring their miniatures and paints and they spend the whole day assembling/painting/playing. Stunt driving day? Depends on where you are I guess.

Tabletop games day? Get everyone to bring their favourites (Munchkin goes down a treat with nearly all our geek and non-geek friends) and have a bunch of tables for people to set up and get games going. If you're in Perth I've recently heard about a board game cafe, you pay a small cost ($9 or something) to play any games from their library and then just buy whatever food or drinks you want. I love some of the other suggestions too! Especially the private cinema Serenity screening, that would be awesomesauce.

Not sure where you are located but if you are in the Brisbane/Gold Coast region, bring the game arcade to him. Ultimate Games There is a Sydney outfit as well I think but I'd have to google to find out who they are. ETA: Here's the Sydney equivalent.
