Hi
I have a 3 year old and a 15 month old. My 15 month old walks very well, but constantly wants to be picked up and carried. She also hates it when I walk away from from her, even for a minute. I know it's a phase and that she's teething but I'm desperate. I can't even have a 2 minute shower without her running to find me and sobbing at the shower door because she can't get to me. I can't get anything done, and I feel like I spend most of the day "running away" from her to try and get the tiniest chores done. Has anyone got a solution that might help her? I've tried a baby bjorn which she hates....... TIA |

Don't be too hard on your little girl - she is experiencing separation anxiety and women's hips are designed to carry babies and toddlers around. You will wonder where the years went one day.

enjoy the cuddles! my first two where liike that at that age and it did drive me nuts but they are 10 and 8 now
 lol Try and distract her with toys and games, even singing songs or dancing rather then picking her up!

hugs OP! My 14 month old is like this. You just need to ride it out unfortunately. Don't worry about house work and see if you can shower when your partner is home. She'll be ok soon!

I find with my little guy that if I do carry him around for a while until he askes to get down, that he gets his fill and is happy to have a break. Can you borrow an Ergo - it's more like sitting so she may like it more.
I also tell him where I am going and give him the option of walking along with me (holding hands if he wants) rather than having him get all upset chasing me and trying to get up. He has a stool to stand on to "help" me cook - I just plonk him over the gate if I need to do anything "hot". |

I took to having a shower with the door open because my daughter was the same.
I used to put her in the high chair in the kitchen while I cooked. I used the pram when out. And it will pass. I'm assuming you've given Nurofen or Panadol for the teething pain too? |
