Hi, I am 7 weeks today and am quite concerned. I started bleeding on Wednesday afternoon. I thought it was spotting to begin with but over the course of the afternoon it got heavier. I spent the afternoon/evening up at the hospital to get everything checked out. They did an ultrasound and bloods etc and everything was fine. I saw tiny bub on the ultrasound and it has a very strong heart beat of 132 bpm. I am still bleeding today (Friday) so of course I am still quite concerned that there is something wrong. I have read that bleeding is common especially around 7 weeks but I would like to find out how long I should expect this to go on for. I had pains last night however they have subsided this morning. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes I had bleeding at 6 weeks sounds similar to what you are having. It lasted 3-4 days. Ultrasound also showed my bub's heartbeat and everything turned out fine. My baby is now almost 7 months old.

Thank you Sarzie, I am so happy to hear that everything tunred out fine and you have a beautiful 7 month old baby, congratulations!
I am a little worried because this morning I had a few little blood clots, hopefully that is not a bad sign.
I have decided to go to my GP today and discuss this with her. I just hope everything is ok, when it's your first time I guess you panic about everything! The little bubs test us from the very start don't they?!

Good luck, I think if there is a hb then it's a very good sign. Try to relax and not worry too much...

I had a few tiny clots too. I think it's always a good idea to check with your GP anyway though.

Thank you Klj1.You are right, I just need to think about the little heart beat and stop stressing as that is probably the worst thing I could be doing. Thank you for the advice.
Hopefully the GP might be able to calm me down a ltitle this afternoon.

Stay positive. I had bleeding at 11 and 13 weeks, after doing the ultrasounds checking baby was all ok at hospital I also went to my obstetrician. All was fine did they say whether the bleeding was from you or the baby, mine was a hemarroage inside the uterus but not within the baby sac. So try to find out where bleeding coming from as that will help put your mind at ease.My gorgeous daughter is now almost 9 months old, and doing so well especially after early arrival Keep strong and try and rest for a week or so if you can get time off work is my advice!

Hi Ash's mum, when I was up at the hosptail on Wednesday night the lady performing the ultrasound couldn't see why I would be bleeding, she said all looked good with everything with the bub and she couldn't see anything that would cause the bleeding. I was just so relieved to see the heart beat that I didn't ask too many questions, thinking the bleeding would stop overnight however that is not the case.
I will be asking more questions today when I see my GP.
I am so happy to hear your little girl is almost 9 months old now.
I have had yesterday & today off work, I will speak to my GP and see if she recommends anymore time off.

I bled from week 5 - 14 with my first. They never worked out why. She arrived full term and over 8 pounds. She's now 3.5. I didn't have any bleeding with my second.

Hi, having a healthy scan is positive!
I have two very different stories. With my DD I had spotting at 4w5 days for several days. I am a very sporty person and was looking forward to still playing soccer till 12 weeks. Doc told me to stop all activity just to be safe. I had 2 scans, the second at 8weeks showed a healthy heartbeat. The pregnancy continued very well and my DD was born at 38w 5 d.

The other was in sept. found out I was pregnant at roughly 5w, by 6w I didn't fell quite right after a fall off my bike where I landed on my hip. I used digital hpt's to confirm that my hcg had decreased as dr was adamant the pregnancy was fine- she even wrote me the 12 week scan and hospital referrals. I was back 2 days later to tell her I think she needed to do blood tests. It was another 2 days before severe cramping started and 4 days till the bleeding started.

This pregnancy I am felling fine at roughly 6w just bloated, and had some spotting/heave feeling right on the 4w mark.
