Mother hires strippers for 16 year old son's birthday party

A New York mother has been arrested and charged wtih child endangerment after hiring strippers for her 16yo sons party.

To me, this is so wrong on so many levels. Firstly, way to go about teaching your son and his mates how to objectify women. I know they learn it anyway, that's how our society works, but really? You want to reinforce that by hiring strippers?

And second, how tacky. I would be beyond ropable if my teenager came home saying that "so and so's mum hired strippers for his party". I really think that goes somewhat beyond the bounds of decency.

So what do you think?

What a sad message that sends to a 16yo and all the other teens there. Very sad.

The only way it could be more inappropriate is if the birthday boy's sister was the stripper.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
How embarrassing for the boy. I couldn't imagine anything worse than my mum hiring strippers for me.

WTF was she thinking? what kind of message does that send to her son?

Weird.

Some time ago, and still in some countries and families, it was not uncommon for Dad to take Son to a prostitute sometime in his teens so he could "learn the ropes," so to speak. I guess times aren't a-changin' as much as they should.

It is pathetic when a parent tries to be a cool friend to their child, not a parent.

It said there were boys as young as 13 there - WTF could she possibly have been thinking?

And strippers?

In front of your mum?

Even at 18 that's wrong on so many levels it's not funny.
