Adelaide. Great nickname options, classic and feminine, not common. I don't mind Violet but I don't love it.

Adelaide gets my vote. Gorgeous name. Violet is nice too, but I really love Adelaide.

DH prefers one, I prefer the other. We both like both names though. So throwing it over to EB, which do you prefer & why? I prefer Adelaide. Good nn, sounds strong, but feminine. A nod to the past, but still contemporary. Violet just reminds me of a old woman with a blue rinse and sensible orthotic lace-ups. |
