DH obviously knows !

We told my parents last night - they were thrilled but I think my mum was surprised we'd shared so early.

I figured that I needed someone other than poor DH to talk incessantly about pregnancy to and I'm close to my family so *touch wood* if anything were not ok they would be told anyway.

We're not telling DH's parents for a few more weeks, they are in the UK and I'd be less comfortable discussing issues with them.

The bride and my fellow BM for the wedding I'm part of this weekend know, they know not to share or even discuss much but I had to give them a Reason why I wasn't drinking the Moët with them!

I also told my chiropractor just in case there were any safety concerns, and my GP of course!

I've told DH, my mum and my little sister. With DH away I need to be able to talk to someone.

DH told his Dad and Mum, but when he told his Mum she had one of my SIL's over and screamed when she got the phone call so of course that SIL now knows.

One of the girls I play netball with and another of my SILs (who i also play netball with) found out accidentally. I'd commented that I was a bit out of breath and my team mate jokingly said you're not pregnant are you, and while I said no my face gave it away. Oops

We are planning on telling a few close people around 10 weeks, then after 12 week scan we will tell everyone else.

I've told my parents (DH parents are no longer with us), a few close friends, two friends who asked directly and two other friends who would prob get suspicious based on sport/alcohol etc. They all know it's a secret.

I waited till the early scan at 7 weeks as the mc rate is much lower with confirmed hb.

I'm due start of october, so am just past 8 weeks
had an 8 weeks scan yesterday, got the all clear, and told my boss after that. I felt I had to explain why I've had a few sick days off recently (bad morning sickness) and also to give them a heads up that I wont be available for some things that are being planned at work in the next few months. he was great about it, a big relief. if something happens, so be it - at least I'll be able to be honest with my boss about why I cant be at work if I miscarry.

I told my immediate family after the 6/7 week scan. I've had a series of mc and I'd tell my family if that happened this time, so I figure I might as well share the good news while it lasts! last time I didnt tell anyone and then had to ring from hospital saying I was having a D&C at nine weeks

I've told one friend. I'm trying to wait a bit longer before telling most other people. it was good to tell family, I wanted someone else to whinge to about morning sickness other than poor DH !

we've told my Mum and I told one of my closest friends... we will probably wait until after the 8 week scan to tell our other parents I think. Then tell our other friends after the 12 week mark.

Apart from my DH and Dr I have told one close friend at work and DH has told his best friend. We will tell my family after the 7 week scan (can't wait!) and DHs kids and family after the 12 week scan as we don't want it to be a big drama for the kids if anything goes wrong. Only my friend at work and DHs friend know he had the reversal so it is going to be a BIG surprise for everyone, I'm trying to think of a way of filming my mum's reaction to the news...

Also my brother has been staying with us since before we found out, fortunately (?) I put on weight over Christmas so I have been using diet/healthiness as a reason for not drinking which has worked in preventing suspicion. It has been really hard not to tell him but he is AWFUL at keeping secrets so he has to wait.

Does anyone have any cool or inventive ways of breaking the news? I'm thinking of asking mum to make me a single bed quilt for a baby shower and when she asks who is pregnant letting her know it's me! Alternatively we might print out a whole heap of photos of the kids and slip a scan photo into it...
