So I am due tomorrow and we still can't agree!
Top of the list so far is Otis, which we both like, but I'm afraid it just doesn't go well. Our last name is three syllable Irish name that is a bit of a mouthful, so short and simple for first name is good - no more than 2 syllables. DS 1 is Kellan. We started picking Celtic names for new bubba but just couldn't find any that we both liked. Owen would go well but it has always been somewhat popular, and we were a bit determined to have something more unusual. Do you know many little Owens? Would you use it over Otis in our situation? Is having DS1 and DS2 ending in -an and -en a problem? |

Kellan is a beautiful name. IMO Owen works much better than Otis (which I have no issue with).
ETA I know nobody named Owen. I don't see it as hugely popular. This post has been edited by Mareek: 20/02/2013, 09:54 PM |

I like Owen. But maybe I am biased. We've met a couple of other Owens in passing, but don't know any as friends or regular acquaintences.
While I wouldn't have a problemwith an "an" "en" combo, "Kellan and Owen" is a bit of a mouthful if you wanted to call them both at once. But that is a fairly minor issue. I also like Otis but probably would not use it. This post has been edited by with the goo goose: 20/02/2013, 10:07 PM |
