Hi ladies,Thought I might drop a line in and introduce myself .. So I'm Amanda and my husband's name is Nate. We were married in feb 2012 and fell pregnant in August with our first child together,( I have a daughter from a previous relationship). Pregnancy went reasonably well apart from having a bad virus/ fever at 8 - 10 weeks. However our joy came to a crashing halt when at the 20week scan they had problems seeing the heart and we referred urgently to the maternal cardiac specialist at the mater. We then food out that our baby boy had a heart that hasn't formed correctly a mix of hypo left heart and a few other things. We made the heart breaking desicion then to terminate the pregnancy . Baby Cooper was then born 3 days later on the 29th November . On the 31st of jan we got the results that everything was normal which I guess is a good thing but makes me a little angry cause clearly if everything was normal he would of been able to live. So now we are trying for our Rainbow baby .. I know it's pretty soon but I feel more than ready , we both just want a little baby so badly. I actually had a lovely lady tell me "not to worry as my baby's spirit is near me and will come back to us soon" so that's made me feel that our baby's spirit is just waiting for a body for which it can come into our lives .. Sorry if that sounds a little out there .. While I now can't wait to be pregnant again, I'm also terrified that we will be that "unlucky couple" once again . I'm looking forward to getting to know you ladies and sharing stories and not feeling quite alone on this scary path.

I'm not a regular in the TTC section, I'm a recent topics drifter.
However this will help with the abbreviations and acronyms http://www.essentialbaby.com.au/forums/ind...howtopic=838840

Hi Mandee, I am so sorry for your loss and want to wish you all the very best of luck in getting your rainbow baby. Are you using Ovulation predictor kits (OPK)? Temping or any other method to increase your chances of getting pregnant sooner rather than later? I would highly recommend and using fertility friend to chart your temperature which helps to keep track of when you ovulate

I wish you the best

Had a fair bit on lately and then realised the other day that I was a little late. ( 4 days) I completely doubted that I would be pregnant as when I thought I was due to ovulate came up negative on a ovulation test. However did a test yesterday and what do you know. BFP!

I am a little excited but I think im terrified at the same time, I have a my parents and such and they just say I have to be positive, but it's so hard when you've been though that kinda pain.

Anyways I just thought I'd pop in and share my big news with you all.
