Ok, so we're currently expecting twins......we know they are the same gender but we don't know the gender, hence we need a set of boys names and a set of girls names. We are pretty sorted on the boys names (quite settled on Elias and Jeremy), but stuck on the girls names. However we do have middle names: Mary and Barbara - both are sentimental, family names on both sides of the family (Barbara - both our Grandmother's first names and my middle name, and Mary - both our mother's middle names). DH's last name is a two syllable English last name and we have eliminated any first names that don't already sound good with it.

Ok, so options for girls names are:

Cassandra
Eliza
Frances
Clara
Evelyn
Eleanor
Emmeline

Remember we need TWO names that go together well for twins. We have quite a few 'E' names, not so sure about two E names?

So far contenders are:

Cassandra Mary
Eleanor Barbara/Mary
Frances Barbara
Eliza Mary
Emmeline Mary/Barbara

Please share your thoughts on what two names you think will work! original.gif

I like Eliza Mary

I'm not keen on Frances Barbara but it's seems to be the only first name that goes with Barbara (if you wanted one daughter with Mary as the middle name and the other twin to have Barbara as the middle name)

You could do two girls with the same first initial. I'm not so keen on that but it's not uncommon.

Frances Barbara & Clara Mary

Eliza Mary & Frances Barbara

Frances Mary & Eliza Barbara

Emmeline Barbara & Clara Mary

Emmeline Mary & Frances Barbara

Eliza Barbara & Cassandra Mary

I would like all of the above. I'm assuming Clara is pn [CLAH-rah] so it will go with Mary but not with Barbara. If it is pn [CLAIR-rah] then it won't go with Mary.

BTW Elias & Jeremy make a marvellous twinset/sibset. I like your taste!

Mum of girls
I like Evelyn Barbara & Clara Mary or Eliza Mary.

Frances is likely to be called Frankie as a nn, so I'd only go with Frances if you like Frankie.

I don't mind two E names for twins, Evelyn and Eliza are pretty together, and if they're shortened to Eve and Liz or Eve and Elle, that still works.
