Hello all,

With baby #3 on the way and already a mum to 2 gorgeous boys I'm dying to find out the sex of baby #3. Husband really doesnt want to know but I do, and although I told the lady doing the 19 wk ultrasound not to tell me, I wasnt opposed to finding out or guessing what sex the baby is myself wink.gif .

So my question to you all is, which shots should I look at to find out the sex? For example there is a 'bladder' shot on the film, with the legs spread and it looks as if something is in between them but it doesnt look like an obvious boy bit. Then there is the 'Femora' shot, which Im guessing also shows the two legs but nothing in between.

Also how can you tell whether something is the 'boy bit' or the umbilical cord?

Are there any experts in the house??

Thanks biggrin.gif xxx

I think what is called the 'potty shot' is usually the most revealing but if you told the sonographer you didn't want to find out the sex they may not have done this. sad.gif
It is looking up from under the bottom.

Please don't ask me to google it!
As long as you get a good shot of the area, it is eay to tell! Girls have the 3 lines...which I correctly "guessed" when I had my two girls original.gif

ETA I'm def not an expert (god no)! But seriously, when you know what you are (or not) looking for and the sonographer gets a decent shot....

The dvd I was given didn't include the shot in question - I found out, DH didn't, so the tech looked at the potty shot at the very start before DH came in the room. When I watched it back she obviously started recording afterwards. So it may not be included in your pics.
