So I'm due in five weeks and we've decided to get a cleaner at least for now until the first few months. (I'm still getting the house back into order after some home improvements so I'm left with little energy to do the floors etc myself.)

I've read some online reviews and contacted a few companies but they have not gotten back to me to secure a date for an in-home quote wacko.gif Okay that's the venty part over!

Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaners in the Sydney area, preferably a company that uses natural/eco-friendly type products?
Thanks!

Where in Sydney? I am in Hills District and have a fantastic cleaner if you're around here?

Usually in your local paper they have cleaners looking for work? Ask for references and I just wouldn't leave while they were in my house! Haha. I'm not very trusting though.

I've been trying to get a cleaner for about 6 weeks. I tried the ones who left a flyer in my mailbox first - no call back. Then I tried a couple of other large well-known cleaning companies and they didn't call back. I got a mail out from Myer One and Jim's Cleaning is a partner, so I contacted Jim's via the website and got a message saying someone would call me between 8 and 10 am the next day. The cleaner called me at about 8:02, he started last week and he did a fantastic job.

Thanks BeccaBoo but I'm in the inner west so may be too far for them to travel?
SeaPrincess, glad you found someone who'd return your calls in the end!
I'll keep trying...

When I have used cleaners in the past - They used my cleaning products so I know what is being used.
Some would bring their preferred mops or cleaning cloths though.

When I inquired in Sydney - the prices from cleaning companies flipped me out.

When I was in Melbourne I always found ladies who did it on the side and I would pay $50 for 2 hours work - the companies I inquired at for 2 hours work is around $150

Hi, my mum organized a cleaner for me for a few months after baby number two. Best present ever! She used Katy & Jerry cleaning - 1300 364 089. I think they do all over Sydney. I was happy!!

Never forget who you are, little star
I wish you luck! Good cleaners in Sydney are rarer than hens teeth. If mine ever tries to quit/retire I'm going to have to move to another city.

I know one but in the Hornsby area which is probably too far. She uses Enjo products mainly.

Hi Beccaboo, I just tried to PM you but it didn't work. I'm in the hills district too and have been on the lookout for a good cleaner. Do you mind PMing me the name of your cleaner? Many thanks! original.gif
