Soooo.., Tooting my own horn cause nobody else will lol

It's my birthday tomorrow and my husband is going to be in bed for most of it cause he is on night shift but I am not gonna let that spoil my fun...I'm going out and as soon as I drop of my son at school I plan to have a great day, but I will have my 4 year old daughter with me. So basically I just want to know, what would you do for the day with a 4yr old in toe!? Nobody has any plans for me and I have to plan everything myself (even my cake )

A bit of shopping, to buy yourself a lovely gift. Then a nice lunch with your DD Followed by taking a good book and your DD to a play centre - those ones where the kids just disappear for a few hours and you get to read peacefully. Choose one with a nice cup of coffee. OR, if you have one of those where you can leave her there, park her there for 2 hours and catch a movie. Then buy a cake and take it home for celebration.

That's incredibly slack that you have to organise your own cake!! Is there a way that your hubby can do it today ready for tomorrow? Go get mani-pedi's. She can have clear or a tinted pink painted on her finger nails while you get pampered. Go shopping? Movies? Not sure what your daughter will do (and how she will react to be dragged all over town ) Have afternoon tea somewhere. She can have a milkshake and you can have whatever your little heart desires! Toot my own horn Mines today Id go with find a great chocolate cake, coffee and a park for you both to lunch. Spot of shopping if your DD allows. Random road trip to strawberry fields or wildlife park. Museum if they have something funky on. Beach depending on weather

Kid friendly shopping with coffee and cake or Moochi frozen yoghurt is a must at the moment. The coconut one tastes like ice cream, and the kids love the little lychee, mango or strawberry pearls which they can burst in their mouth.

I was sick on my birthday last week - which really sucked, apart from that me and my son cooked a massive and very, very rich mudcake then made ganache to decorate it. then we spent a week eating it (and by we I mean mostly me!) I love the zoo so if it were a beautiful day I'd go to a deli, buy up big on expensive gourmet treats, and have a lovely picnic day with DD. Happy b'day!

If I just have my four year old with me, she'd be happy with shopping and going to a cafe. She also is quite good at theme parks, the museum, art gallery, etc. ETA: Happy Birthday for tomorrow! This post has been edited by SlinkyMalinki: 19/02/2013, 05:20 PM
