Hi Everyone,

My FS has put me on a Long Down Reg Cycle for this one, to get better quality eggs, he said.

Do you think this is correct and how long does this Down Reg cycle take, I have only had Antagonist cycles.

Any information would be great, I just need to plan a few things.

Hi Amberspark

I have done 2 antagonist stim and 1 long down reg stim.

Both of the antagonist I got 3 eggs 100% fert rate although one dropped off ont he final cycle as we grew out to 5 day blasts and one stopped at day 3.

On the Long Down Reg I got 5 eggs all fertilised I had two transfered 3 frozen and at the next FET the three were thawed 1 arrested and 2 for transfer.

I started the cycle in early April with EPU in Mid May so it was a 6 weeks of sniffing then jabbing all up. I don't have too much problem with the synarel except it made me feel depressed extremel low when I am normally very positive and 3 days after stopping it felt like the sun came out to shine again and everything felt better happier lighter and much easier to cope with. I very much wanted to stop everything all treatment and attemts whilst on it but i did get almost double my normal eggs on collection and they all became embryos.

Goodluck.

Thanks dolce - I guess I will just have to go with the flow with things. I have heard alot about the nasal spray. I have done both Antagonist cycles and my last one got 14 eggs but apparently poor quality so am definetly after quality over quantity.

I had a holiday booked over Easter, as I wasn't expecting to start so soon and now looks like i will have to cancel some of it, if it takes 6 weeks, it will land me smack bang in the middle.

Mine took about 6 weeks. I actually felt fantastic on syranel, like a million bucks! My FS said it's an indication of how you'll go through menopause. Hope she's right!

After day 1 nothing really happens for the first 4 weeks then from that point for the next 2-3 weeks it is constant BT and U/S.

Syranel doesnt really have much affect on me. It made my DP get hot flushes though - I'll tell her about the menopuse link Cuddlesnkisses!
