So it's never going to be trendy to sport a lady beard. So I am considering permanent hair removal lasering. Possibly the upper lip, too.
I know next to nothing about it, so would appreciate hearing about people's experiences, prices, recommended places or places to avoid. Have you had it done? Would you recommend it? Did it really work? |

Mine was caused by hormones, but lasers did help for a short while. I found correcting my hormone levels were a more permanent solution, follow this, I was planning electrolysis.
But yes, lasers did remove the hair, but it did grow back (slower, and finer). The only time I'd consider this treatment again is for pre-holiday epilation. HTH! |

I've pretty much had everything from the eyebrows down lasered and can highly recommend it! I started at My Skin clinic in Melbourne because they use medical grade lasers and are really affordable (am in SA now so going to clinic here now). Definitely sign up for a package of 6 treatments because you will mostly likely need them and I think I got a good discount for paying for the course upfront.
It's still a reasonable investment but totally worth it from a time and self-confidence point of view. Good luck |

I'm in Qld, but go to Brazillian Butterfly (who do have places in Melbourne according to their website).
I've had laser of my underarms & bikini line & love it. It took 8 treatments, but there is virtually no hair left. |

Where abouts are you in Melb?
I had my treatments done at a salon in Wantirna and I cant recommend it enough. Results are great and the service was fantastic (and prices reasonable for the area - I shopped around beforehand) |

I've had lip, underarms and bikini area done by IPL (different to laser) and am very happy with the results. It does have to be re-done every so often.
I'm going to try 'real' laser next on my legs. |

I can highly recommend Manhattan Skin and Laser Clinic.
It's not painful, which to me is absolutely essential. I had a different type of laser test patch done once at another clinic and there was no way I could possibly have a treatment done as it hurt so much. This post has been edited by vanessa71: 23/02/2013, 10:52 AM |
