Hi Ladies,
I am researching prams at the moment and I have my eye on the Steelcraft Agile Travel System. Does anyone have any experiences with the pram? Also, I am thinking of getting the matching convertible car seat that goes with it, it was recommended that I get that instead of a full on newborn to 4 year car seat for example. What do you girls think? Is it easy to fold? Light weight? Easy to manovure? ect Any help would be greatly appreciated xo |

i have this pram and the capsule and love it!!! Very very light and easy to fold. For my first child I had the steelcraft strider - it was massive and clunky and heavy. The agile was perfect for my second. Having the capsule made it so much easier to handle the newborn and the 3yo. However if i was starting again i would have just got it for the first one. I had also had a cesear and found it really easy to get in and out of the car.
The only issues - i got the green one and it marks easily - get a darker colour. It doesnt work as a double pram if you are planning on having two close together. Also, there is a new model out - make sure you get that one, as it has a few extras like a liner, foot rest and handle bar for the baby. |

I bought this for use with my baby, who hasn't arrived yet. My car is a 2dr hatchback so we felt getting the capsule would be imperative for ease of tiny newborn travelling.
Playing with the pram and pram+capsule is good fun, cannot wait to use it for real! Nice and easy to fold, easy attaching the capsule to the pram. Nice and easy to steer. If there is a full nappy bag on the back, it doesn't tip unless you force it. I am hoping to be pleased when baby is here We were going to get the Agile, but the Agile Plus was released and we got that instead for more features. |

I have the travel system and have used it for the 10 months since my baby was born, and I love it! I got 5 months use out of the matching capsule but DS is in the 97th percentile for length and weight so a smaller baby would probably get more use. It is so nice not to wake baby when going to/from the car and home/shops by using the capsule, I certainly recommend a capsule if you can then afford to buy another car seat a few months down the track.
The only issue I have with it now as we contemplate a second baby is that you can't make it into a double. As another who ended up having a ceaser, it is quite light and not to bulky. |

Great! Thanks ladies!
I think I am going to go for that. I am only 9 weeks but I thought I would just have a look and get opinions and do some research to compare, cant hurt! A friend of mine went out and spent around $1,600 on a Bugaboo but wishes she went with something else and did her research, I guess it prooves that the most expensive isn't always the best. My mother is driving me crazy in regards to car seats, at first she wanted me to go out and spend $700 on a car seat because she thought it was the best on the market based on one persons experience and then someone else told her that a pram with a matching car seat is the way to go lol. |

I had one for DD3 and loved the convenience - wish I'd had it for the older kids. Also when the capsule is on, the capsule hood and pram hood unfolded at the same time make a full shade cover for the baby (also great for warmth in winter).
My only real problem with it was a minor one - because the Agile folds with the seat on the outside, the seat fabric is more prone to pilling from getting pulled in and out of the car. |

When you say car with a matching car seat do you mean capsule? As the Agile has a matching capsule not car seat. As a PP said just be aware that the capsule has a limited lifespan. We got about 8 months out of ours. DD was 75th percentile. After that you will need a rearward facing car seat.

How is it to adjust the backrest on the Agile Plus? It looks like it is a pulley type system? Is it hard to do and get it even?
If the Agile Plus did reverse as well then I think it would almost be a perfect pram! |

Just pull the strings outwards to sit up, and pull the clip down to recline. As far as I've noticed, because there are two strings, it doesn't lay wonky, so shouldn't be an issue. That said, I've not played with mine with a baby in it yet |

HI,
I'm also looking at the kingfisher colour - does the capsule come in the same colour or did you just get black? If just black does it look ok once the capsule is on the stroller or does it look out fo place? I bought this for use with my baby, who hasn't arrived yet. My car is a 2dr hatchback so we felt getting the capsule would be imperative for ease of tiny newborn travelling.
