Hi again, I have really apprecciated all of the great advice ive gotten here in the past and am once again looking for opinions.

I think we've settled on names for baby #2, dont know the gender, and ths will be a sibling for daughter Dylan Kate.
I was able to convince DH to go with my fave girls name - Peyton. But I could not get my boy name over the line - Chase (not even as a middle name)
The only boy name we remotely agree on is - Preston.

What do you think? Preston and Peyton.

I am stuck with middle names. Our surname is also two syllables, starting with a J, Should we avoid another two syllable middle name? I also prefer 4 letters, and simple to match with DD middle name Kate.
Some of our ideas are

Preston Beau J.... (I like, I think its a bit edgy)
Preston Jack J... (maybe to borning)
Preston Zac J....

Peyton Skye/Sky J.... (are there too many ys)
Peyton Ivie J... (2 sylables and odd spelling to avoid another y)
Peyton Tru J....
Peyton Hope J....

I would love to hear our opinions and suggestions (no need to be nice, im a tough cookie) biggrin.gif
TIA Vicki

I'm honestly not a fan of either name but I think they're both great as a sibling to a female Dylan.

Preston Jack and Peyton Skye are my choices from what you have so far but I do like Ivy too, just not Ivie.

Some suggestions:
Dylan Kate and Preston Jude
Dylan Kate and Preston Hugh
Dylan Kate and Preston Hugo
Dylan Kate and Preston Finn
Dylan Kate and Preston Luke
Dylan Kate and Preston Kade
Dylan Kate and Preston Milo
Dylan Kate and Preston Toby
Dylan Kate and Preston Jake
Dylan Kate and Preston Otto
Dylan Kate and Preston Saul
Dylan Kate and Preston Mark/Marc
Dylan Kate and Preston Dean
Dylan Kate and Preston Paul
Dylan Kate and Preston Alec
Dylan Kate and Preston Levi
Dylan Kate and Preston Troy
Dylan Kate and Preston Drew
Dylan Kate and Preston Adam
Dylan Kate and Preston Noah
Dylan Kate and Preston Iain
Dylan Kate and Preston Eden

Dylan Kate and Peyton Jane
Dylan Kate and Peyton Elle
Dylan Kate and Peyton Evie
Dylan Kate and Peyton Mali
Dylan Kate and Peyton Emma
Dylan Kate and Peyton Neve
Dylan Kate and Peyton Isla
Dylan Kate and Peyton Jade
Dylan Kate and Peyton Ella
Dylan Kate and Peyton Elsa
Dylan Kate and Peyton Leah
Dylan Kate and Peyton Asha
Dylan Kate and Peyton Lana
Dylan Kate and Peyton Maya
Dylan Kate and Peyton Ruby
Dylan Kate and Peyton Abby
Dylan Kate and Peyton Anna
Dylan Kate and Peyton Rose

For Dylan's sibling, Peyton & Preston are great choices. I agree with FFT & would spell Ivy this way.

You lost me with the female Dylan. Not a fan of unisex names at all.

Love Peyton. Shame about not being able to get Chase over the line as its a favourite of mine, my daughter is Chasely.

As for your choices I would go Preston Jack and Peyton Ivy spelt like this.

I love Dylan Kate as a name!

Your naming style is NMS but of your current choices I probably prefer Preston Zac and Peyton Hope. Just not together if you have B/G twins, or a 3rd child.

Well ,that wasnt really the question Old Grey Mare - as a parent of a unisex name child I would be a bit annoyed if I started a thread 'Am having another baby, sister to Rylee' - and posters got stuck on their irelevant opinions of my existing childs name unsure.gif

Anyway, OP - Preston and Peyton are not my favourite names but nothing wrong with them - also unless your surname is very Y heavy - say Jayley - then I dont see a problem with Peyton and another name with a Y in it

Peyton Skye and Peyton Ivy look quite ok to me, no need at all to change spelling for that reason.
Skye, Ivy and Hope all go well as Mn's - not so keen on Tru.
Also if one uses a unisex or not obviously feminine/masculine name ( and not sure Peyton is a name familiar and gender obvious to everyone) then I think its best to have a clear gender mn - like you have with Dylan Kate, and Skye, Ivy or Hope are clear female names where Tru is not.

Beau, Jack or Zac all work well as mn's for Preston. I dont think Beau is too edgy - do you mean like too out there? - not IMO.

Between Peyton and Preston I do prefer Peyton.

As for a middle what do you think about Eli so it would be Peyton Eli?

Just my two cents, best of luck with you new baby!
