Clench your pelvic floor!
So what is in your fridge?

I grew up with the saying "if you're hungry eat some fruit or some bread". So I guess I just don't have the knack of stocking fridge snacks.

My fridge has loads of 'stuff that goes on bread/toast', condiments galore, staples (milk, eggs, veges etc) but honestly there's not much that you would grab for a snack. The freezer (boringly) has loads of stuff for many a dinner, but obviously only snacks that need to be defrosted.

SO tell me - what is in your fridge that mine is lacking.

mine sounds like yours, although there is usually a container of leftovers that I tend to have for lunch the next day

The snacks in my fridge are apples, carrots, yoghurt or cheese. Also butter, vegemite and jam for putting on toast.

When I was a kid, a snack meant toast, cereal, fruit or vita weets with butter and vegemite.

Eta my DP likes to snack on ham so sometimes that's in the fridge too.

My DD got into the fridge this morning and gave it its first big clean out in ages. She threw out at least 2 bags of rubbish- leftovers that haven't been eaten, old veggies, jars of out of date stuff. So I'm not really sure what's left now. I know there are a lot of cheeses, butter, marg, and a few spreads. And a couple of veggies and salad items.

The usual heaps of fruit and veg, some breads and condiments. I have carrot sticks and celery for dipping into organic peanut butter. I also make protein balls and cheesy quinoa patties for quick snacks.

We prepare everything from scratch. So there is very little packet food in the fridge/freezer or pantry.

We always have a bottle of wine in the fridge. Fresh fruit and veg. Cheeses, condiments... Ham sometimes. Butter/marg... DH usually takes leftovers for lunch the next day, or we eat them the next night. If I've made a big batch of something, I freeze it in portions.

To be honest, our fridge often looks empty.

DD knows she can eat fruit whenever she wants a snack. She helps herself to apples, bananas and pears from the bottom shelf in the pantry. I tend to 'snack' on sandwiches, when there is bread around.

We do have a supply of rice crackers and corn thins in the pantry. And I make popcorn in the popcorn makers and bake any biscuits/cake we have...

I am guilty of having a block of chocolate floating around...
