I've just read the heart breaking article about the little girl who died under her dresser. It's made me pull my finger out and get our drawers attached to the wall - I've been meaning to for ages.

The kids don't have drawers in their room, they do have expedit shelves that are attached to the wall but these came with the fittings so my question is, where do you buy the bits you need?

It's a tallboy and a smaller chest of drawers of DH and mine - can I get something at Bunnings? I wouldn't know what section to look in?

You can get them from Bunnings, but since you have an IKEA furniture you could go to the returns and exchange counter of IKEA and say you needed to attach your expedit to the wall they'll give you some. Can't promise it would be free, but might be cheaper. You'd still need to purchase the right screws to nail into your wall. Make sure you nail into the studs if possible.

You just need brackets. Talk to someone at Bunnings and tell them what you need to fix to the wall and what sort of wall it is (plasterboard, solid brick, concrete) and they'll help you.

I just read your post again. You have the parts. Ok. Depends on your wall. You'll need to go into bunnings. The nails section tells you what parts you need for the type of wall you have.
