I had my first doctors appointment this morning... and doctor told me I should have waited at least 2 years before becoming pregnant..
Well this wasn't planned and we both are extremely happy.. I wasn't told about all this.. Anyways.. he was saying I am automatically in Hi Risk.. I want to know have there been anyone else in my position? My baby is 3 and a half months old now and this baby is due around 23rd October.. He also said, this baby will be delivered by c-section and that it will be early. Is this true? Look forward to hearing from those who has been in my situation.. thanks |

My obs said 1 year rather than 2, but you have a significant still healing wound in your uterus, which is still weak and now is going to be stretched like crazy.
Not much you can do now though, and higher risk doesn't mean something will go wrong, so congrats and enjoy! |

I don't know anyone who waited 2yrs before getting PG.
My SIL has 14m between her first two and I have 22m between mine. |

I was always told to wait over 12 months. It takes that long for the wound to heal. So yes you will be higher risk due to the healing not being complete. I guess there's more risk of rupture with it being so soon as well. Though i'm not a dr lol. I'd ask to know what things do i need to look out for to know if something is wrong, as i'd be slightly paranoid about lack of healing from previous one . ( it did take me a really long long time to heal with both mine though!)

Sounds like an odd thing to say, you are higher risk of course but natural spacing of children is 18 months, many women after C/S become pregnant well under 2 years.
I think he is being very conservative but if you are happy with him otherwise then it should only mean extra vigilance with scans. I do think it has probably ruled out a VBAC if that was something you were considering. Congratulations and good luck, I am sure all will be well. |

My OB told me at 6 weeks I could fall pregnant any time. I think it's determined on your actual recovery. I have a friend who had two C/S within a year.
You have the right to a second opinion and also for options other than a C/S if you so choose. Make sure you feel comfortable with your plan of care Also, congratulations on your pregnancy. |

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I haven't been in your situation, but can share what I was told.
My care providers said that it's best to wait a year after having a c-section, before getting pregnant again. From what I've read, if you are pregnant earlier than that you are at increased risk of a uterine rupture and many care providers would thus recommend you have another c-section rather than trial labour. Every person's body and recovery is, of course, different so it's good that you'll be monitored throughout your pregnancy to make sure that you and your baby have the best outcome. All the best, and good luck. |

I was pregnant 3 months after my first Caesar, and delivered at 39 weeks via Caesar. I had a very uneventful second pregnancy and have two children 11 1/2 months apart who are best friends. Congratulations!
