I'm new to jogging/running, however I need a pram to put my DD in while I'm out there. Any suggestions?
DD is 19 months old and weighs 10kg. I currently use my Chameleon, but it's not ideal. |

I can't help, OP, but was basically going to ask the same question today! Will be lurking... (p.s. Mountain Buggy Swift not up to the job!)

Depends on your budget and how serious you think you'll get I to running.
I prefer a high handle, fixed front wheel and waterproof cover (as I run in the rain if necessary) Baby city joggers get great reviews but if my dd was the same age as yours I'd get a BOB jogger. I've had a koolstride which was great but my DD grew out of it so I now run with her in a chariot bike trailer (which coverts to a jogger). It's awesome but huge. The advantage is she can take books, food, toys and its fully enclosed. My DD is almost 5 though and I run up to 25km in 1 run. |

There are quite a few dedicated joggers on the market. They have a big fixed wheel and big handles. MBs as good as they are - will not really do the job if you run long distances or often. However, dedicated joggers dont do much else well as they dont manoeuvre well in tight spaces such as supermarkets etc.

Thanks
I'll have a look about, not sure of my budget, maybe up to about $200 or so. I've only just started running, I'm doing up to about 5km per day and I'm loving it. I want it to become a part of my daily routine, so I think a pram at this point is a good investment. |

My DH is a runner and we have the Baby Jogger Summit 360. It is our everyday pram also. Has spring suspension, with large tyres at the back and a smaller one at the front. Overall, it is an awesome pram for everything..

I got up to running about 20km pre-pregnancy, but would be lucky to be able to do 3km now, without the pram! How long does 25km take you? Amazed that your DD will stay restrained for that length of time, even with books/toys etc. My DS will barely tolerate the pram for the 15 mins it takes to walk to the park... Still, you have inspired me. Keep using DS as an excuse for having let myself... go. Really miss exercise. |

Wow, I wish I had one that nice as well . . . I bike and jog, so that would be amazing!
OP: I can recommend the "Baby Jogger F.I.T." I've used it for a while and it suits me well at parks and trails around town. Let us know what you buy and how you like it! |
