my kids are on a failsafe diet, it's working we'll for them, but leaving me feeling horrible, really bloated and uncomfortable by the night. I think it's the lack of fruit in my diet. has anyone tried having other fruit in the house for the non fail safe people and were you successful? I don't really want to have my kids favourite fruits in the house but restricting them to pears, but I can't go on like this either.

My DS was the only one doing FS at the time, so he was used to 'his food' vs everyone else's food. I can understand you being worried about it though...can you keep it in another place out of sight? Not necessarily hiding it, but just not putting it in plain sight to tempt them.
I'm assuming you are not doing gluten free...have you considered you perhaps have a wheat/gluten problem (I think FS is heavy on grains, which doesn't agree with everyone)? Personally I don't find increased fruit improves my digestive issues - when I cut out grains and focus on protein & veg and up my water intake I feel less bloated. I've also found chia seeds work really well for me, but I know they are not failsafe. |
