Can't you just start a celebrity thread anyway?
I will if you like... OMG we were driving in the ute last weekend and David Foster was out mowing his lawn and he waved at us! Waved! At us! It was very exciting except we played it cool... What do you mean you don't know who David Foster is? The MOST successful sportsperson Australia has ever produced! Picture of the great man |

It's like when someone says "Don't look down!"
Now I want to know what you wrote. |

The closest I've come to a celebrity sighting was seeing those old rockers ZZ Top having photo's taken in the American Museum of Natural History when we were in NY last year! |

David Foster is pretty awesome.
But he pales in comparison to Boonie. Although I do prefer to watch wood chopping to cricket. Perhaps they could combine the two? Are you going to post in the right section now OP? you know we'll all be stalking you |

It's like when someone says "Don't look down!" Now I want to know what you wrote. It was a very boring question in regards to my quest to return to Tasmania! (Sorry again folks)! ETA: Yes Dinosaurus, I scuttled over to the correct section, lol! This post has been edited by Peanut: 15/02/2013, 04:44 PM |

David Foster is pretty awesome. But he pales in comparison to Boonie. There was a house in Devonport that had both David Foster AND David Boon life sized cardboard cutouts in an upstairs window! I used to take a detour just to pass them by and respectfully dip my hat. |

This is for Dinosaurus and CountryMel...
Many MANY years ago, when Boony was still wearing the baggy green, my sister and I had the privilege of meeting him through her cricket friends, AND sitting at the bar with him for hours, listening to his stories. I will never forget that night - he was the nicest, most polite man and treated my sister and I with the utmost respect, he wasn't sleazy or arrogant (unlike that horrible Craig McDermott who I also had the My greatest regret is not approaching Steve Waugh to introduce myself. Stupid me, I was too *shy*. I LOVED him from the moment he set foot in the team and predicted he would be captain one day (to the derision of all my friends who thought they knew cricket *hmph*) *sigh* |
